Chugoku Nature Trail
中国自然歩道
The Chugoku Nature Trail covers 2,295km across five prefectures. The Chugoku Nature trail covers Tottori, Shimane, Okayama, Hiroshima and Yamaguchi Prefecture. The long distance hiking trail takes hikers through three Japanese National parks, and four Quasi National parks. In 1969 the Ministry of Health and Welfare began creating long distance hiking trails, this trail was started in 1983.
